When I told family and friends about starting this company, their reactions were all the same. They all wished me luck and asked why I was limiting myself to small businesses. Well, here's why. I have only ever worked at large corporations and I can tell you that no one is motivated the way a small business owner is. They have got to be some of the hardest working people with the best ideas that I've ever seen.
Not surprising though, (despite the grind and 60 hour work weeks) many small businesses fail. According to this article on investopedia.com 2 of the Top 4 reasons they fail is 1.) inadequate management and 2.) poor planning. I thought, "I CAN HELP THAT". So I'm here to turn things around. My mission is to strengthen the small business community. I believe what small business owners need are ways to reduce financial risk, stress, and work hours.
Small businesses are vital to the economy for several reasons. They are the biggest creator of new jobs, they have the most diversity & innovation, and they support large corporations with the products and services they provide. I read this article from entrepreneur.com stating that for every $100 spent on small business, $68 stays in the community. Small businesses also support the community by sponsoring sports teams, local events, etc. Small businesses are powerful!
This is my way of giving back to the community that I love so much here on the Gulf Coast. I look forward to serving small business owners and helping them become more profitable.
